MARIANNE MARTINEZ

Marianne Martinez was born to be in the arts. Growing up in the young, lively city of Miami, Marianne has always had a thirst for knowledge and opportunity to try anything with a creative outlet. From dancing ballet, playing the piano, and singing in the choir as a child, to acting, writing, and then directing for the stage later in life, she feels her multi-medium experience has given her an opportunity to appreciate every part of a production, have empathy for those she works with, and understand the best ways to collaborate with a team. 

 

Marianne is a proud graduate of Nova Southeastern University (NSU), where she received a B.A. in Musical Theatre, with a minor in Arts Administration. On her free time, she loves traveling with her family, attending concerts and music festivals, spending time with her friends, and giving back to her community in any way she can. As a first generation Cuban-American, she’s fluent in Spanish, enjoys dancing salsa and eating pastelitos, and is a strong advocate for telling important stories surrounded around diversity, community, and the human condition.

 

Marianne is lucky to have turned her passion into a successful career. She currently works as the Lead Theatre Teacher & Director for Msgr. Pace High School and is always looking for her next project or collaboration.
